Job Roles:
Vendor assessment’s team will report into ROC (Regional Operations Centre) Manager and be one of the centralised desks within APAC (Asia Pacific) ROC in Malaysia. They will be required to coordinate and perform annual review of vendor assessments for APAC, releasing resource time at Country Level, with final sign off on vendors assessment questionnaires from Local office. This team is set to deliver high level simple process and service to internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform annual quality control audits/ vendor evaluation reviews (remotely) to ensure strategic vendors are following Company standards.
Ensure all vendor audits and evaluations are completed on time.
Review quality questionnaires from vendors to check for completion and look out for QHSSE adherence.
Identify issues and seek clarifications / corrective actions from vendors.
Maintain and manage detailed trackers and data repository of vendor assessments completion and results.
Serve as liaison between Port/Ops Manager and vendors with regards to review and feedback on assessment questionnaire.
Take initiative to call-up vendors to communicate requirements and/or ensure adherence of deadline for assessment questionnaire completion.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must possess at least a Degree in any field.
English fluency in both verbal and written communications is a must.
Mandarin fluency in both verbal and written communications is required to support North Asia areas.(Taiwan / China)
Japan fluency in both verbal and written communications is required
Ability to work in a remote team environment with minimum supervision.
Ability to work in fast paced shipping business.
Good Computer skills-MS Office
Good knowledge of shipping vendor audit practices (evaluating and liaising with vendors) and QHSSE /ISO 9000
Excellent audit and communication skills to engage vendors and port managers as well as Procurement team.
Close attention to QHSSE details that could impact audit results.
Systematic and organized in documentation e-filing and managing audit schedule deadline
Must be professional in conduct and practice, and reliable as each assessment are time critical.
Proactive, responsive, and adaptive in a dynamic environment
One to three years’ experience in Vendor Audit/Shipping Operations/Supply
Chain/Vendor Management or similar role
